💫 Meet The Team - Nandan Grover
This blog spotlights Nandan, Zevero’s Senior Software Engineer. It outlines his background, rationale for working in sustainability and his favourite activities outside of work.

What inspired you to work in the decarbonising business?
I’m deeply committed to using my skills to make a positive impact, and working in a business with a meaningful purpose has always been a priority for me. Before joining Zevero, I was a part of another sustainability-focused business and the move here felt like a natural transition for my skills and passion.
What do you enjoy most about your role at Zevero?
Building a product from the ground up and scaling it to handle millions of data points is fun and a developer's dream to work on!
Tell us a small thing that makes your day better.
Reading a sci-fi or fantasy book for 30 minutes after a long day is very relaxing for me!
What’s your favourite quote?
“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light ~ Dumbledore”
If you had to recommend one thing to read, watch or listen to, what would it be?
I just read “Zero to One: Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future”, and it’s a must-read for everyone who is working in a startup and trying to innovate.
What was your first job?
During my undergrad, I worked in the Marketing/Sales team, focusing on digital marketing and cold calling to get sponsors for events. I also used to do freelance work as a Web Developer.
Where can we find you on a Sunday morning?
Either sleeping or Yoga depending on Saturday night!
What’s your favourite topic to discuss outside of work?
Anything related to space and aliens is always a fun chat.
Your favourite Zevero project so far
Emission Engine, which is a microservice that stores, processes and matches emission factors for all sustainability-related needs using ML/AI.
