Who are VITHIT?
VITHIT was founded by Gary Lavin in response to the lack of healthy beverage options available to consumers. Known for their low-calorie, vitamin-enriched drinks, each bottle contains 100% of the recommended daily allowance of eight vitamins, without compromising on taste.

The challenge
VITHIT wanted to take meaningful steps towards sustainability but didn’t have a dedicated sustainability team. Measuring their emissions was the first step, but with a complex supply chain spanning multiple suppliers and customers worldwide, collecting accurate data was a daunting task. Without an integrated ERP system, they were concerned about the manual workload involved in gathering emissions data across Scope 1, 2, and 3.
In addition to understanding their emissions, VITHIT needed to create a carbon reduction plan to meet increasing sustainability requirements from customers and government tenders. With packaging materials such as plastic bottles and Tetra Paks, they also wanted to explore opportunities to reduce waste and make more sustainable choices. Meeting these challenges required external expertise to guide them through emissions measurement, reporting, and reduction planning.
The Solution
VITHIT partnered with Zevero to measure their emissions, streamline sustainability reporting, and create a carbon reduction plan that met tender requirements.
Zevero helped VITHIT establish a clear emissions baseline, calculating their Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions to provide a starting point for their sustainability journey. Since VITHIT didn’t have an integrated ERP system, data collection was a manual process, but Zevero ensured the process was simplified and scalable, whilst ensuring accuracy in the emissions data.
With regular check-ins and dedicated support from sustainability experts, VITHIT didn’t need to work with multiple consultants. The platform’s emissions breakdown helped them pinpoint key areas for reduction and provided clear insights into their biggest emitters. This data played a crucial role in preparing their carbon reduction plan, allowing them to meet sustainability criteria for government tenders and secure new business opportunities.

The Results

Looking Forward
VITHIT plans to continue working with Zevero to build a more comprehensive carbon reduction plan that will fold into the overall sustainability strategy. With this roadmap in place, they aim to take further action to reduce emissions and improve the sustainability of their supply chain.
Words of advice for other organisations
If you are unsure how to begin with your sustainability, Zevero is an excellent starting point. Their platform is straightforward to use. Having an excellent platform from the beginning is essential because you don’t want to move your data from one platform to another. Zevero has many offerings that will become useful once your sustainability needs evolve.
